As the target sights move from North of us and start to focus to the East...maybe it's time to do a very brief run through the main issues in the Iran ..erm..crisis?
-
Iran has been under threat of being referred to the security council since breaking the seals on it uranium enrichment facility..and from then on it's only been a hop, skip and a jump to the serious escalation of a crisis that could really hurt everyone...many say the point of no return has been crossed...now that is music to some ears since there are suggestions that the idea to strike Iran has already been signed, sealed and delivered and is only waiting for the right official excuse...This old news should make that more credible a theory...
-
Many have said that "It's going to take a long time" for Iran to enrich uranium...but the powers that be don't seem to care because on their calendar it's already past the time they wanted to crack the whip...there is talk about this being similar to the buildup of media and scare tactics that happened before the invasion of Iraq...And if anyone is listening to the news on US TV, hearing things like 'liberating Iran' and being 'welcomed' with open arms by the people, among other deja vu's, you would start bets on 'when' and not 'if' an attack is coming...
-
This was surreal..or something...And yet there is the even more surreal..
What planet of crazy are both these presidents on?
-
Oil prices are through the roof..
-

Iran said some time ago that it will respond to any attack with medium-range missiles..folks, where do you think those medium-range missiles will land? Today the headlines say 'Tehran will “cut off the hand of any aggressor”

"how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."

Hi Kwtia

It's nice to have you back, even if all the news is depressing. You know the phrase "going out with a bang"? It seems like Bush heard the phrase and misunderstood it. On the other hand, he's lost a lot of support, so maybe it won't be possible for him to do anything in Iran (although lately it seems like he doesn't care about support or the constitution, or really anything besides blowing up the world). . . He's only got about 20 months left. Hopefully the world will survive, and the next president will be a dipolomat and not a . . . what does Bush call himself? A war president?

Hi Shemsi, thanks :)..I believe these days he is a 'decider' which is what he hilariously called himself this week..."I'm the decider and I decide what's best." I say hilariously and I actually mean (foot-stompingly, scream at the top of your lungs at how obscene it is) ridiculously...Ah King George, when will you learn? And when will you get an education?

My goodness, I saw a clip of him saying that, last night on the Daily Show. 20 months. . . I feel like I've been holding my breath for 6 years, I hope we can survive for another 20 months.
