snocone tagged me...supposed to grab the closest book, look at page 123 and write down the 5th sentence and the following couple of sentences....

ok..
Page 123 in Bukowski's 'Love is a Dog from Hell' has only these lines...
.
"a single dog
walking alone on a hot sidewalk of
summer
appears to have the power
of ten thousand gods
why is this?"
-
How's that?
And How's about i don't tag anyone?
----
And how's about we really teach anthropology of religion, comparative religions and cultural studies in universities and even schools here?
---
And how's about we revoke everyone's driver's licence and make everyone get tested again?Especially me.
---
And how's about i figure out where i got the idea that 'how's about' is correct English?
---
And how's about someone get me a little fleece blankie for christmas?
---
And how's about everyone keeps building up the courage to be who they are and not who they think people who don't give a damn about them think they should be?
Really How about that?
---
And how's about y'all read this
and this
----
How's about the season make up it's mind, winter or summer...
---
And how's about we read and remember things like this?
.
"Nor does the human spirit move without great difficulty against all the apathy of conformist thought within one's own bosom and in the surrounding world...
And some of us who have already begun to break the silence of the night have found that the calling to speak is often a vocation of agony, but we must speak. We must speak with all the humility that is appropriate to our limited vision, but we must speak. " M.L. King

I stole your link to the article about the personal ads. It really cracked me up.

OMG drivers have gone crazy. Especially now that it's almost christmas. You can't go anywhere near a store without getting run down. I think I'll just stay indoors with the doors locked until Jan 3.

Was it cold today? For no good reason, Andy and I checked the weather in Kuwait today. It was about 9 am here, so I guess it was late afternoon/early evening over there, and it said it was 64F. What is that, like 17C? That seems pretty cold. It was about the same here today.

If they taught comparative religion etc at school in Kuwait, people would realize that all the religions are more or less the same, thereby taking away from the superiority and perfection of islam.

3baid, :)

Shemsi, Steal away...funny stuff.
And yes it will be scary for them to realise the historical/pagan/mythological origins of some stories they like to tell...that's why it will be a pretty day in hel (the one with one 'l' from Norse mythology that is) before we get anything diverse here.

Sometimes it’s like you think I’ve forgotten why I read your blog and you pick the choicest pieces to remind me. Your wonderings had me wonder along side of you, laugh, shake my head, and love you all the more. All that plus pretty poems and a quote on humanity. You spoil me so.
