Over 90 people dead...perhaps many more unaccounted for..bodies floating in the flood water..people's homes destroyed..a lot of the people in the area can't afford to lose their homes and their livelihoods..Martial law might be imposed, to add insult to injury...good luck to everyone in the path of the storm..
If you want to help the victims go to The American Red Cross

hi kwatia...it's so interesting that you said that the photo of the hotel looked like a war zone...'coz I have this theory that in order to keep the balance of people in the world...we on this part of the world have man made wars..and we get to see pictures like that...while in the US nature takes care of it...it's not safe anywhere...I suggest we find another planet to go live there! What do you think?

Hi Misscosmo! I don't know if living on any other planet is going to be easier, this is the only human friendly planet we know..:(
I think maybe we should try to love each other more to stop wars, start building hurricane, tornado, flood proof structures (we have the technology)..and we have enough resourses to house and feed the whole world twice over..we just don't distribute it all fairly..
I suspect we humans will screw up any other planet we go to..this is the most beautiful planet in the area..and look what we do to it.
I know what you mean about not feeling safe anywhere though..and i fear that my hope for a better world is as much a dream as catching a spaceship to another planet, however nice they both are as ideas..What do you think?

Well, if you and I screen those that are allowed to go to our planet and we feel that they are humanitarian types then maybe we can avoid them screwing our new planet for us....as for dear old earth...I'm not sure if there's hope there...too many egos..too many differences in religions...until we all believe we are all one...I think the chances of improvement for earth are pretty slim...but then again...humanitarians are trying to make a difference so I shouldn't be so negative....if only we had the real power to make it a better place...(someday inshallah!)
