It is sad to know that even after two world wars people can be so blind ..

And so cruel...
Isn't it supposed to be one of our human gifts that we evolve? Learn? I think we got that wrong.

They think these children are carrying weapons?

How would THEY feel if they see THIER children lined up against a wall and shot one at a time?

Children..they're only lovely innocent beings..not a care in the world and oblivious to the sadness & dangers around them...only to have their lives snuffed out by a shreiking explosive projectile..abruptly ending their lives.

I keep seeing those dead children in my head.

Unfortunately when it comes to war, innocent civilians die. On all sides. That being said, lets keep in mind who started this war - Hezbollah. They have been rocketing Israel almost every week and now they have kidnapped soldiers.

Chai-7aleeb and mini..really depressing..
Stan..Hizbullah, as much as I dislike them and as much as I, without exception, disagree with using violent tactics to solve any dispute, their initial targets were military...Thanks to Israel's behaviour this week, that is no longer the case..escalation helps no one but the militaristic on both sides.
And the whole chicken and egg thing is fruitless argument..because every act is a reaction to one before..this has been going on for too long to stop at just the points we prefer and say 'that' is where it started...It uncovers our own leanings rather than the truth..
Israel's current tactics are vicious, unbelievable and inexcusable and did not target hizb, but lebanon's infrastructure, civilian lives and livelihoods... hizb's actions are stupid, predictable and nauseating and thanks to Israel's baiting will certainly escalate to even more criminal violence until the Israeli leadership has a good enough excuse to go after its real targets..
And exactly because civilians on both sides are always the victims, we should feel disgust and should stand against war, not say 'too bad that is what war is like, live with it'.
Neither the Lebanese, nor the Palestinians nor the Israelis nor the victims of the probable larger war that is coming deserve the criminal actions of leaders and the military. Lebanon is paying the price, now Haifa is too, and what next?

It is sad to see the death scenes of innocent little children who happen to be the victims of this meaningless war. But then again, as much as i dislike war and its hazardous implications on civilians and property, we cannot expect anything better can we? After all this is war and there is no guarantee to human life howmuch ever you take care to lessen the civilian casualities. Children happen to be the victims also by chance, there is no escaping that bitter fact. and definitely this is something highly deplorable and cowardly. But then who are to be blamed infact? isn't the hizabollah also, if not equally, more to be blamed for this aggression than the israelis.Probably it is the hizbollah with their tit for tat tactics who should realise the outcome of their act. Holding a nation like lebanon hostage (Funny isn't it- a nation within a nation)and selfishly serving its own interests and commiting aggression in the name of Allah is not in anyone's interest. So better for these murdererous goons to consider the life of innocent civilians big and small. The world would be a better place without them. Lets face the fact. In any case it is Lebanon at the receiving end and the civilised world ought got to put a stop to this nonsense.Militant outfits like hizbollah ought to be disbanded and as far as israel is concerned, well it is a matter of survival in the midst of hostile arab nations on all sides. It may take whatever it needs to sustain the life in them.
